Centre regional taxation chief in Kondengui over Amougou Belinga tax issue

Mvogo Emeline has been moved from the cell holding where she has been for the past days to the Kondengui maximum security prison pending trial.

The tax chief is accused of corruption, misdemeanor, and gang scam with the victim being Amougou Belinga in the case opposing the directorate of taxation to the Anecdote media group.

The confrontation between the detained Emeline Mvogo and Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga took place this May 19. It is reported that the centre regional taxation chief claimed to be innocent until the proofs were presented to her.

Amougou Belinga is suing 9 taxation agents for attempting to scam him of the amount of F CFA 500 million.

The Anecdote group bank accounts in four banks had been frozen by the directorate general of taxation for unpaid taxes worth over 7 billion but a letter from the ministry of finance had imposed a temporary suspension of this measure.
