SOS Alim Ayatou Did Not Survive To Beat COVID-19 In Cameroon

The Secretary of State, SOS, to the Minister of Public Health in charge of the fight against Pandemics and Epidemics, Alim Ayatou, has died. He died early Monday after an illness, prominent Grand North newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel has reported.

Alim Garga Ayatou dies at the time when the COVID-19 pandemic is still wreaking havoc in the world and with a steady rise in figures in Cameroon. He has been at the frontline, fighting against this global pandemic.

The Lamido of Garoua since 2000 and brother to football legendary administrator, Issa Hayatou, has been in government as Secretary of State since 1996.
