AU honors Akere Muna with Pan-African award

The former President of the Cameroon Bar Council, the Pan African Lawyers Union, PALU, and the Economic, Social, and Cultural Council of the African Union, was honored by the African Union, in Ghana.

The founder of Transparency International (TI) Cameroon and former Vice-Chair of Transparency International’s global Board, was handed the award during the 20th anniversary celebration of the Economic Social and Cultural Council of of the African Union.

Barrister Muna dedicated the award to Cameroonians, ” I dedicate this award to the resilient people of Cameroon as they navigate a crucial chapter.”

The crucial chapter is the upcoming presidential elections in Cameroon next October 2025.
