Afotsing Penka Fulbert installed as West region’s paralympic president
Persons living with disabilities in the West region have a new sports boss. Afotsing Penka Fulbert was installed as President of the west regional branch of the Cameroon National Paralympic Committee last September 2nd in Bafoussam. He was installed by Jean Jacques Ndoudoumou, Président of the National Paralympic Committee in a ceremony organized under the patronage of Governor Awa Fonka Augustine.
As recommendations, the new CNPC president for the West was called upon to work with the aim of making persons living with disabilities feel proud and happy in their current physical conditions and promote social inclusion in all 8 divisions of the West.
The Cameroon National Paralympic Committee created on August 21st, 2011, is the primary body in Cameroon for the promotion of sports for people with disabilities. It has four member organizations: Cameroon Sports Federation for the Visually Impaired (FECASDEV), Cameroon Sports Federation for the Physically Disabled (FECASDEP), Cameroon Federation of Sports the Intellectually Disabled (FECASDI) and the Cameroon Sports Federation for the Deaf (FECASSO).
The President of the Cameroonian Paralympic Committee is Jean Jacques Ndoudoumou. The organization has four vice presidents, who all serve as the presidents of CNPC’s member organizations.
