Cameroon FA boss caught in match-fixing
The scandalous audio which lasted up to 11 minutes was made public by an anonymous person and widely shared on social media platforms.
In the audio, in which the voice of Samuel Eto’o Fils is heard, he demonstrates confidence by telling the person on the other side, “Bob Didy” that he shouldn’t worry, his club, Victoria United will be made to qualify for the national Elite 1 football.
Samuel Eto’o who said on Monday that his former fourth national president, Njalla Quan Jr should write a technical report about an alleged match-fixing on June 28, 2023, is heard in the audio with another club president saying that he will sanction a referee based on his personal relationship with his interlocutor.
Shortly after the owner of Njalla Quan Sports Academy, released a communique, adding that such audio comes to confirm allegations that some Fecafoot officials witch-hunted his club.
In part of the conversation, Samuel Eto’o is heard saying, “Let us meet in Yaoundé. I will arrive on the 3rd in Yaoundé and will be at the office on the 4th and 5th, I would have loved to come to Limbe but if I come, it will not be good. Let us meet discreetly we talk…your club will qualify for the Elite One, that is our objective.”
Eto’o has not made any comments.
Cameroon News Agency has messaged on Facebook and emailed Fecafoot Secretariat for comments.
