FECAFOOT lays down conditions for participation of Elite clubs in 2023/2024 season

Clubs will only be eligible to participate in the 2023/2024 season of Cameroon’s top-tier leagues if they fullfil a list of conditions.

The Cameroon Football Federation has said one of the key requirements will constitute having an approved programme for the formation of youth players. The federation indicated that each club must have a women’s team as well as an official training ground matching the required standards.

Other conditions include having a recognized team doctor, a kinesitherapist, team press officer, and an office with an official address.

The personnel of all clubs will also have to be registered at the National Social Insurance Fund (NSIF/CNPS). The federation pointed out that all clubs will be obliged to pay the salaries of players strictly through their bank accounts.

The 2022/2023 season ended with several irregularities. Most complaints were directed towards FECAFOOT for failing to respect the federation’s obligations towards clubs.
