Batoufam: Thieves kill business man

A 52-year-old man called Bertrand Tchacham has been attacked and gruesomely murdered by yet to be identified hoodlums in Batoufam, a locality in the West region.

According to family sources, the business man was attacked on August 20th night by the group who hid in a corn farm, just a stone throw away from his compound, waiting for him.

Bertrand’s lifeless body was discovered at about 6:00AM Sunday by his mother who was on her way to church.

In shock, she raised an alarm that pulled other family members and locals to the scene.

The deceased’s brother reported that the criminals after killing his brother took away the keys of the shop which helped them carry away valuable items before escaping.

Investigations have been opened by elements of the national security force and the family hopes that the perpetrators of this act will be brought to book.
