Cameroon Embassy in France says allegations of rift with FeCaFoot, false

The Embassy of Cameroon in France has denied all allegations that the Ambassador of Cameroon to France, Andre Magnus Ekoumou is angry at the Cameroon Football Federation, FeCaFoot for not inviting, or informing him about the match encounter between Senegal and Cameroon.

The Embassy sent out a press release on Wednesday, October 18, debunking all allegations stating that, this false claim came as a surprise to the Embassy.

“The Embassy of Cameroon in France, would like to immediately inform national public opinion and friends of Cameroon that this “information” abundantly relayed in several forums and applications, unfortunately, proceeds from approximations, insinuations, and highly dangerous and pernicious false allegations, likely to undermine the personal honor of the Head of the Diplomatic Mission of Cameroon in France, the prestigious institution he heads, and Cameroon,” the release read.

They further stated that; “In view of the unfortunate implications that such a publication could have in the normal relations between institutions, and the image of Cameroon, the Embassy of Cameroon in France, formally and vigorously denies all the remarks contained in this text, the terms of which are simply and purely the bad imagination of its author.”

Senegal beat Cameroon 1-0 in the friendly on October 16, 2023, which was part of their preparation ahead of the 2023 AFCON.
