Upsurge in Big Babanki as military raid leaves more than half a dozen dead!

Inhabitants of the locality say the military killed more than 6 civilians in the village on Friday, June 16, 2023.

We gathered that lifeless bodies were found on the streets, after Friday rain. CNA cannot independently ascertain if those killed had links with separatist fighters or not.

But there has been an influx of military forces in Babanki for weeks now after the Fon demanded security help.

Cars and motorbikes were set on fire as pro-government Activists claim, the victims were at a separatist checkpoint. But images reviewed by CNA newsroom show the victims were in different locations.
