Molyko stadium director summoned over molest of journalist

The Cheif of the South West regional judicial police department has summoned the director of the Molyko stadium, Mbua Njonge, to answer charges of assault.

Ndeh Samba instructs that the said director should appear before the judicial police on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 10 AM.

The suspect is accused of assaulting a female journalist, Eyong Bessong Macdella, who on May 18, 2022, was heading to the Molyko Omnipsort stadium to cover a football game.

Several journalism associations said she forgot her badge home and when she was about to reach out to her phone to show the soft copy, it was mistaken for attempting to film police officers on duty,

Upon instructions from the stadium director, police allegedly tortured the Kick442 reporter.
