Cameroon: 386000 children in need of education services.
These children talked about are victims of attacks in the Far North region and the crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. The Cameroon human rights commission in its recent report, has disclosed that Cameroon has 936.767 internally displaced persons who fled their homes in the three crisis hit regions for safety.
As of May 31 2022, over one million people reported at the Cameroon UNHCR bureau among them 579.136 IDPs and 479.644 refugees.
The commission notes that 5.693people in Cameroon applied for asylum and 63 files were rejected while 3.942 Cameroonians sought refuge in 11 foreign countries.
While commemorating world refugee day, the Cameroon human rights commission has urged government to facilitate procedures for the acquisition of documents and improve on the education and health care service granted refugees and internally displaced persons.
